Toilets, sinks, bathtubs, showers, and faucets do not last forever. We attempt to fix leaky, drippy faucets whenever possible, as well as the internal flush mechanism in toilets. If a repair is not economical, or if the fixture has just reached it’s life expectancy, we are happy to remove the old and install the new. While we have the pipes open, we will perform inspections on visible drain pipes and repairs on obvious problems, such as replace dried up seals.
We can inspect and diagnose problems with hot water tanks, and often fix the problem. We remove old and install new hot water tanks. We also install tankless water heaters, which are becoming popular due to their economical and ecological benefits.
Please be kind to your drains and toilets! Even feminine products and personal wipes that say “Flushable” are NOT your pipes’ friends!! Never Never throw dental floss into your toilet. If you have long hair…not just ladies anymore!….invest in a drain protector for your bath/shower, to avoid continuous hair entering your drain. We are happy to come over and unblock your drain with our sewer machine, but pipe kindness can avoid most clogs.
How old is your sump pump? Has your home flooded in the past? The City of Ottawa is hoping to reduce flooding by offering rebates on battery backup sump pump installation and sewer backup protective devices. We are happy to help you with the forms and perform the installations for you.

Sewer systems are typically gravity based and flow through to a wastewater treatment plant. When a sudden heavy rainstorm or spring flooding flushes debris into mainline storm sewers and sanitary sewers, sewers can backup into homes and businesses. When these two types of sewer systems are overwhelmed, sewage will back up. Tree roots or grease in a home’s sewer lines can also lead to backups. A backwater valve prevents raw sewage from backing up into your home through your toilets, showers, etc
